“Until Jan. 1, customers can purchase ornaments for the shop’s 9-foot Christmas tree with proceeds going to Davis Street. Holmes is matching the donations until the combined total reaches $10,000.”
There’s lots of events in the North Area for Halloween this year!
Zocalo will be kicking off the annual Safe Treats, Safe Streets event this year from 3-5pm on Friday, October 30th. Trick or treat the 30 or so businesses at the Bancroft/Dutton corner and get in the spirit! Photos from past events here and here
Then, on the 30th and 31st, support your schools as Washington Elementary holds a Haunted House from 5-8pm.
And, don’t miss the Dunsmuir House Pumpkin Patch Octoberfest from 11am-4pm this Saturday, the 24th. They’ll have crafts, pony rides, and pumpkin painting, as well as sausage and suds for the adults. $7.50 Adults, $5 kids, under 5 free.
